Holiday in the Park Is Better, Brighter and More Thrilling Than Ever Before At Six Flags Fiesta Texas
San Antonio, TX — November 5, 2014 — The regions’ premier Christmas event returns to Six Flags Fiesta Texas November 28 with Holiday in the Park! Bring out the entire family for wonderful holiday cheer featuring the epic Iron Rattler, holiday magic like no other with our new shows, My Christmas Card to You and The Tinseltones, and our breathtaking live nativity show, The Majesty of Christmas! From November 28 through January 4, the park is transformed into a winter wonderland with millions of colorful twinkling lights throughout the park, carolers performing classic yuletide favorites and personalized meet - and - greets with Santa Claus and his helpers.
New Holiday Magic
The Tinseltones – Catch these contemporary a cappella carolers as they entertain audiences every operating day during Holiday in the Park! You will find these performers as our present to you, nestled right next to our Christmas tree in Rockville. Songs performed include the classic “12 Days of Christmas” and a lively rendition of “Holiday Road.”
My Christmas Card to You – Receiving Christmas cards annually from close friends and family is always a welcome event, experience those nostalgic feelings again with this heart-warming musical rendition of holiday hits, both classic and contemporary. Performed in the Rockville High Theater, this charming show features such seasonal favorites as “My Christmas Card to You,” “Underneath the Tree,” and “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.”
Enjoy our thrilling coasters during Holiday in the Park! Holiday in the Park offers thrillingly magical fun for the whole family including the Iron Rattler, and delightful children’s play area Kidzopolis.
The Iron Rattler roller coaster returns after being named the “Best New Steel Roller Coaster of 2013.” This thrilling fan favorite is sure to put more jolly in your jingle bells during your visit to the park. Wood and steel combine for a steep wondrous drop followed by wild twists and turns reaching speeds over 70 miles per hour.
Take the cheerful thrill seekers to exhilarating park favorites such as Goliath and for soaring thrills enjoy SkyScreamer! Thirty-two guests board the ride and sit two across in open air swings as they climb to the top of the SkyScreamer tower while spinning round and round, towering 200-feet above the ground. At full swing, guests soar in a 98-foot circle at speeds of 40 mph with the rest of the park far below their dangling feet.
For the little elves in your group, there are fun rides for everyone to enjoy! Enjoy nonstop fun in Kidzopolis on Zoomjets or roam the park and experience Kinderstein in Spassburg for fun thrills!
Holiday Entertainment & Fun
The Majesty of Christmas – The season’s most popular show, the Majesty of Christmas, is FREE with park admission! This holiday spectacular presents an exciting visual reenactment of the Nativity, including breathtaking vocal performances by Mary and Joseph, a manger surrounded by live animals, and angels flying through the sky. This magical show comes to life at the Zaragoza Theatre through December 23.
Christmas Tree Lighting Spectacular - Situated in the center of Rockville stands the park’s 60-foot-tall Christmas Tree. Adorned with thousands of brilliant lights and sparkling ornaments, this sight is sure to put a smile on the face of any Scrooge this time of year. Join in on the special tree-lighting ceremony to commemorate the holiday season (tree lighting through December 23).
Ms. Claus’ Cookie & Cocoa Workshop – Get into the spirit and enjoy special holiday crafts with your entire family. Decorate a delicious cookie or a one-of-a-kind ornament or both in time for the holidays at Ms. Claus’ Cookie & Cocoa Workshop located in Crackaxle Canyon (through December 23).
Santa’s Castle - Santa’s Castle provides the ultimate walk-through experience where guests may see the elves hard at work preparing toys for good girls and boys, enjoy beautiful holiday décor and personally meet-and-greet Santa at the conclusion of your visit. Santa’s Castle runs through December 23.
Frostee’s Skating Rink - Pick up a pair of skates and glide through a wonderland adorned with glittering Christmas lights and brimming with holiday spirit. This delightful skating is located in Spassburg. Skates provided; must be at least 36” tall to participate.
Holiday Falls – Experience visual holiday magic at night during Holiday in the Park. The enchanting quarry waterfalls become a canvas for holiday magic displaying beautiful holiday visuals that light up the park at night.
Magical Musical Lights - Magical Musical Lights offers a remarkable lighting display to be enjoyed throughout the evening with thousands of lights glowing to the sound of holiday cheer and music!
Have Yourself a Looney Tunes Christmas - Get into the spirit of the season with Bugs and his Looney Tunes friends during Have Yourself a Looney Tunes Christmas. Stop by Sangerfest Halle to sing and dance along to family favorites like “Santa Claus is Coming to Town” and “Feliz Navidad.” This magical show runs through December 23.
Once you’ve hit some rides, enjoy tasty holiday park treats including apple turnovers, turkey legs, and hot chocolate with special mix-ins located at Sangerfest Halle located a short walk from Santa’s Village.
Six Flags Fiesta Texas will be closed Christmas Eve & Christmas Day. Certain rides, shows and attractions will not be in operation during Holiday in the Park. Santa’s Castle, The Majesty of Christmas and Have Yourself a Looney Tunes Christmas will continue through December 23, and select shows, rides, attractions and holiday décor will be available through January 4.
